    All-Metro boys, girls basketball teams


    GIRLS FIRST TEAM


    Brianna EldridgeBlue Valley5-10Senior
    •The 2008 East Kansas League player of the year led the Tigers to a 21-2 record, including a perfect mark in league play. Eldridge used her strength to control the game from her point-guard position, and averaged 13 points, eight rebounds, three assists and 2.6 steals a game. Committed to UMKC.


    Jadhken KerrOlathe South5-11Senior
    •A forward, Kerr led the Falcons to a 22-3 record and a third-place finish at the Kansas 6A state tournament. The Sunflower League Player of the Year averaged 15.4 points a game for the Falcons, who also won their fourth consecutive league title.


    Cassie LombardinoBasehor-Linwood6-3Senior
    •Lombardino was a force inside for the Bobcats, who finished with a 22-2 record and tied for the Kaw Valley League title. A forward, she averaged 17 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks a game. Committed to Washburn.


    Jaleshia RobersonHickman Mills5-6Senior
    •Hickman Mills was the picture of perfection through most of the year with Roberson, a guard, leading the way. An all-state performer, Roberson paced the Cougars in scoring with 19 points per game. She also averaged four steals, four rebounds and five assists per game. The Cougars finished 29-2 and fourth in Missouri Class 5.


    Drew RobertsBlue Springs5-5Junior
    •Roberts showed range, not only working as a long-distance threat but developing into a slashing scorer at guard. She averaged 14 points and 3.5 assists, led Blue Springs to an undefeated record in the Suburban Conference Big Seven and was an all-state selection. The Wildcats also advanced to the Missouri Class 5 sectional playoffs.

    •Denmon led the Rams to a third-place finish in the Missouri Class 3 state tournament, averaging 28.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. The guard also distributed the ball, averaging four assists a game. He will play in college at Missouri.


    Milton GarnerRuskin6-1Senior
    •Garner, a guard, scored 22.1 points per game and averaged 4.5 rebounds for Ruskin, which advanced to the Missouri Class 4 state quarterfinals. What Garner will be remembered for by many will be his performance in the semifinals of the North Kansas City Tournament, when he scored 45 points in a four-overtime thriller.


    Clinton MannSt. Thomas Aquinas6-7Senior
    •Mann led the Saints to a third-place finish at the Kansas 5A state tournament, capping a senior season in which he averaged 18.5 points and 9.2 rebounds a game. A three-year varsity starter, Mann, a forward, committed to play at Iowa State.


    Dominique MorrisonRaytown6-6Senior
    •Morrison, a forward, averaged 25.6 points and six rebounds per game for Raytown, which advanced to the Missouri Class 5 state quarterfinals. He led Raytown to 27 straight victories and shot 54 percent from the field and 80 percent from the free-throw line. He also set a single-game scoring school record with 44 points against Belton. He has signed to play at Oral Roberts.


    Travis RelefordBishop Miege6-5Senior
    •The KU-bound Releford was the premier scorer on the Kansas side of the state line, averaging 24.1 points a game for the 19-3 Stags. The swingman also averaged six rebounds and four assists per game.
