Kansas unveils 2010 football schedule

LAWRENCE | The Kansas football team announced its 2010 schedule Wednesday, highlighted in the nonconference by a home game against Atlantic Coast Conference opponent Georgia Tech.

The Jayhawks will play the Yellow Jackets at Memorial Stadium in 2010 before making the return trip to Atlanta in 2011.

KU will also travel to Conference-USA’s Southern Mississippi in 2010, the back end of another home-and-home series that begins this season with a game in Lawrence. Division I-AA opponent North Dakota State and New Mexico State will round out the nonconference portion of the schedule.

While KU appears to have toughened its schedule outside of the Big 12 in 2010, it will begin a two-year stint replacing South powers Texas, Oklahoma and Texas Tech with Baylor, Texas A&M and Oklahoma State.
