MANHATTAN | Oklahoma's Blake Griffin went for 29 points and 15 rebounds as Kansas State's offense disappeared in the second half of a 61-53 loss Saturday at Bramlage Coliseum, the Big 12 opener for both teams.
K-State trailed 29-26 at the half, turning the ball over 15 times. The Wildcats finished with 20. Compounding issues was the fact that K-State couldn't make anything in the second half, finishing the game with a shooting percentage of 33.
Denis Clemente led the Wildcats with 18 points, and Fred Brown added 12 for K-State, which fell to 11-4 and saw its six-game winning streak snapped.
