MANHATTAN, Kan. | Freshman Jamar Samuels scored a game-high 15 points to lead five players in double figures as Kansas State, 10-3, cruised to a 83-57 victory Saturday against visiting Idaho State at Bramlage Coliseum, the Wildcats' fifth consecutive win.
Jacob Pullen (12 points); Buchi Awaji (11 points); Dominique Sutton (10 points), who tied a school record with eight steals; and walk-on Justin Werner (career-high 10 points) were the others. Fred Brown, Ron Anderson and Darren Kent each added eight. Chris Merriewether and Luis Colon were the only Wildcats who didn't score.
They hit 11 of 23 three-point field goals, including seven of 12 in the first half, when they took a 40-22 lead into the halftime break.
Denis Clemente, K-State's second-leading scorer, missed Saturday's game because of the flu.
