K-State-IUPUI basketball preview
More News
•WHEN/WHERE: 3:05 p.m. today at the Sprint Center
•TV/RADIO: Fox Sports KC
•ABOUT IUPUI (5-1): The Jaguars of the Summit League feature three players who average more than 15 points. The Jaguars’ only loss came on a neutral court against Auburn. They have won road games against Drake and Eastern Illinois. Coach Ron Hunter is widely known as one of the best-dressed coaches in the country.
•ABOUT KANSAS STATE (4-1): The Wildcats are playing their first game since a third-place finish in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off. Although this game will be played on a neutral court, it is considered a home game for K-State by the NCAA because it controls tickets and game operations. Clemente and Pullen combined for 47 points in their last game against Dayton.
•BOTTOM LINE: IUPUI should offer a tougher test than K-State faced in its first two home games against Loyola-Chicago and Western Illinois, so another 30-point win may not be in the cards. But the Wildcats should have no problem winning by double digits.
