Martavious Irving, a 6-foot-2 shooting guard from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Kansas State.
Irving, named a top-20 player in Florida, helped his Anderson High team to 55 wins over two seasons and was the top-ranked large-class team in Florida.
"We are pleased to welcome Martavious to our basketball program," Martin said in a statement. " He is an excellent combination of athleticism and strength at the guard position and will be a great fit for our style of play."
Anderson High is the high school alma mater of K-State great Mitch Richmond.
Martin also announced that junior guard Buchi Awaji and sophomore guard Fred Brown will transfer to other schools.
Awaji, who averaged four points last season, graduated from KSU with a social sciences degree last weekend. Brown averaged 8.1 points in 20.4 minutes.
