Overland Park police have identified the driver of a vehicle involved in a Monday hit-and-run accident that injured two people, one of them critically.
Police say he is a 17-year-old juvenile and a resident of Leawood. The vehicle was located in Overland Park.
No charges have been filed against him.
The teen, driving a newer model GMC Suburban, was going west on 122nd Street shortly after 6 p.m. when he made a left on Tomahawk Creek Parkway and struck the rear of a GMC Yukon.
That caused the Yukon to veer left, cross a grass median and strike a tan Lexus traveling north, police said.
The driver of the Suburban continued south on the parkway, and the drivers of the Yukon and Lexus were taken to a hospital. The Yukon driver was sent home, but the Lexus driver remains there in critical condition.
Police said the investigation is continuing.
