It’s election day in several parts of the Kansas City area.
In Missouri, voters will consider:
•Renewing Jackson County’s quarter-cent sales tax for the COMBAT anti-drug program.
•An $85 million bond issue for construction and renovation in the Independence School District.
•Extending Clay County’s law enforcement sales tax.
Other Missouri elections include Liberty and the North Platte school district.
Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
In Kansas, Edwardsville voters will consider a half-cent sales tax increase, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Fairway is balloting by mail on a sales tax increase, with a deadline of noon today. For election updates, go to KansasCity.com.
