On Tuesday, Missouri senior Chelsea Thomas was chosen SEC pitcher of the year by the same coaches that left her off the preseason all-conference team. Thomas, who was also the league leader in overall ERA (1.25) and overall opposing batting average (.155), allowed just 12 extra-base hits in her 107 1/3 innings pitched during SEC games.
Rockhurst announced Tuesday that Kathy Strecker is the Hawks’ new women’s cross country coach. She will also serve as an assistant athletic director and senior woman administrator.
